I call that a cheap date.
Even cheaper- The matinee shows are $2 . $1 Hot dogs and smuggle in your own drink.

I think of it as "What's for dinner bingo"
Most of the items are about to expire, but perfectly good, especially if you are going to freeze or cook them the same night. Hmm...What can I do with turkey gravy, a raisin bagels, and ham steak?
